Things We Love Thursdays: Keeney’s

April 29th, 2010 by | Share +

Our creative team is constantly cranking out ideas, websites, business papers, business cards, logos, client proofs, brochures and various print collateral. With so many projects going on at one time, we’re also always running out of our favorite pens, special printing paper, spray mount, highlighters, sticky notes and other various office supplies.

Keeney’s Office Supply has been a life saver for us. Unlike other office supply companies who charge upwards of $20 for next day delivery, Keeney’s doesn’t charge a cent regardless of the total amount of your order.

Operating on honest, reliable service and no charge delivery, Keeney’s business has been doing very well. However, they wanted to better communicate their company values, offerings and local roots on their website. What was originally supposed to be an interactive project turned into a comprehensive, collaborative branding project that helped Keeney’s fully evolve as a brand. This included a logo and identity system (letterhead, business cards, presentation folders), messaging, tagline, vehicle graphics, and a newly redesigned website.

Here’s a look at Keeney’s newly launched logo and site.

We’re proud to say we’ve worked with Keeney’s. If you’re running low on office supplies, give ‘em a call — they even deliver our favorite “must haves:” K-Cups.

Things We Love Thursdays: Pantone Colors

April 15th, 2010 by | Share +

Our design agency loves color. We house dozens upon dozens of Pantone color bridges, Pantone swatch booklets, Pantone-inspired books and even Pantone cups.

“What’s a Pantone?” you might ask. Similar to a sizing chart when it comes to clothing, the Pantone Matching System (PMS for short) provides an industry standard for colors. This is especially handy when we help clients choose colors for things that go to print or when we’re trying to decide on a color to paint our houses.

There are hundreds of sites that are devoted to Pantone charts as well as just color. COLOURlovers is one such popular site and features color combinations, color palettes and color trends.

Today, as an ode to all things Pantone, we’re sharing some of our favorite Pantone colors from our interactive, creative and marketing team. Click on the Pantone swatch for a bigger version.

Note to Design Nerds: Unless otherwise noted in the PMS, all colors are from the Pantone solid coated book. We’ve also included one color that doesn’t have a PMS value.

Things We Love Thursdays: K-Cups

April 1st, 2010 by | Share +

Things We Love Thursdays is back after a brief vacation/blogging hiatus in Washington, D.C.

This week, we’re paying homage to a small yet potent addiction we like to call “ass kicking in a cup.” What are they? None other than those amazingly refreshing K-Cups. If you’d like to check ‘em out, K-Cups are conveniently sold online, via Keeney’s Office Supply (free shipping on all orders!) and oftentimes at a Tully’s near you.

Cleverly marketed as a necessary refill for the Keurig single cup coffee maker, we became early adopters and, consequently, are now representative of the “Dreaded Three Hs“: helpless, hooked and hopped up on caffeine.

Here’s part of our collection thus far. And, if you were wondering, yes, we are shamelessly hoarding more K-Cup boxes on top of our fridge.

Currently, all Keurig owners are in the midst of a worldwide hot cocoa K-Cup shortage. Check back next week to see if we’ve all gotten our hot cocoa fix.
